July 15 Summer Series 5K #4 - Sign in starts about 6:15 pm.  Check the webpage for details.
July 19   Howlin' at the Moon -  at the Park at River Walk, Stockdale Hwy & Buena Vista Blvd. (new location) Fun Run 2k around the park at 8:00 PM, timed 5k and 10k along the bike path at 8:30 PM  Awards for all categories of the 5k and 10k. Come join us for Kern County’s only night time run. $20 for early registration received by July 16. $25 for on site registration. Registration will begin at 5:30 at the park. August 2   5K Memorial Run - Beach Park, Bakersfield, CA 7:30 am start.  Team In Training Memorial Run.  Help to raise funds for research aimed at finding a cure for blood related cancers.  download a flyer or register online at Active.com.

August 9   McFarland Race of Champions - 5K, 10K, and 1 mile events which benefit the McFarland Track Club.  Entry Form
August 9 Yokuts Park Fun Run - A chance to get in a little speed work, practice racing, or just show off your new running gear.  These low key out and back trail runs occur on the first Saturday of almost every month and feature no entry fees and no awards.  Just show up around 6:45 to sign up to run a 1,2,3, or 5 mile course.  The 1 mile starts at 7:00, and the 2,3,5 mile courses start after we all finish the 1 mile. Yokuts Park at 7am.

August 31   Montana de Oro Trail Run - 8 Km, 12 Km, 25 Km, & 50 Km serious trail runs by Pacific Coast Trail Runs.  The motto of their runs is, "Runs that Aren't Races in Beautiful Places."  www.pctrailruns.com

October 4   2nd Annual 5K Run/Walk For at Risk Youth- fast and flat trail run; starts 8am at Beach Park(24th and Oak St.) registration is 6:00am- 7:30am. Pre-reg under 18 is $12.00 until October 3rd.  Adults $20.00.  Day of $24.00.  Long Sleeve colored shirts and still 4th place medals in all age categories.  10 and under; 11-13; 14-16; 17-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69;and 70 0ver.  Huge Raffle; Pancake breakfast; and free massages lots of fun.  Come out and support the Probation Auxiliary’s At Risk Youth Programs in Kern County.  Information- Susan James 333-2492 or Brenda Archer 868-4243.  Download Entry Form

November 15   BTC Half Marathon Part 2 - 5K, Half Marathon at Yokut's Park in Bakersfield, CA.  This is the second half marathon for the 2 halves make a whole marathon series.  If you ran the half in February, you will automatically be tallied in the whole marathon, but if you did not run the Feb. half, come out and enjoy a great fall half marathon.  Entry form, or visit the Webpage for more info.
